2019 STUDIO POLICY

1.    Lesson Payment

a)   Payment will be accepted by cash, cheque or bank transfer. My bank details are provided on your invoice.

b)   Lessons must be paid for within the first two weeks of the Block/Term. Payment due dates are clearly stated on your invoice.

c)   If payment is not received by the due date, a late fee of $10 will apply.

d)   If payment is not received within four weeks from the start of the Block/Term, lessons will be discontinued until full payment (including late fee) is received.

 2.    Attendance

a)   Attendance at all scheduled lessons is expected. No refunds will be given for no-shows.

i.    If you think you will be delayed, please phone or text me to let me know whether you will be coming.

ii.    If you are late to a lesson, the remaining time will be utilised, however I may not be able to extend past normal lesson end time if I have another student after you.

b)   If you are unable to attend a lesson, 24 hours’ notice is required.

c)   All students will be entitled to one (1) make-up lesson per term, should you cancel with the required notice:

i.    If 24 hours’ or more notice is given, a make-up lesson will be scheduled at a mutually convenient time.

ii.    If less than 24 hours’ notice is given, a make-up lesson may be considered depending on my schedule but is not guaranteed.

iii.    If you are ill and unable to sing, the lesson may still be held, with alternative activities such as theory, listening activities or repertoire exploration scheduled instead.

d)   Any lessons cancelled by me will be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.

 3.    Discontinuing Lessons

a)   Minimum four weeks’ notice is required if a student wishes to discontinue lessons. This must be in writing.

i.    Payment is required during this period even if lessons are not taken.

ii.    After this period, any remaining lessons which have been paid for may be refunded in exceptional circumstances.
