A Bit About Me...

I have been training and performing in the arts for over twenty years. I've studied music, drama and dance one way or another since the age of four when I began as a classical ballet student. In my teens I developed a love of Golden Age Hollywood musicals which led me to singing lessons and a particular interest in jazz, cabaret and musical theatre.

As well as ballet and singing, over the years I've studied classical and contemporary piano, tap, Broadway jazz and contemporary dance, Practical Aesthetics acting and the Viewpoints system, physical theatre and commedia del'arte, classical, contemporary and Australian theatre, jazz, contemporary and musical theatre vocal styles and more. I have performed at venues including The Brisbane Jazz Club, MetroArts, The Schonell Theatre, and the Concert Hall at Queensland Performing Arts Centre.

I hold a Bachelor of Creative Industries in Drama and Creative Industries Management from Queensland University of Technology, as well as a Bachelor of Contemporary Music at Southern Cross University majoring in Voice Performance and Music Education. Most recently I completed pedagogy training in Levels I, II and III of Somatic Voicework (TM) The LoVetri Method at Artsworx, University of Southern Queensland in Toowoomba.

I have taught dance and movement to preschool age children, primary after-school drama classes, and private and group singing to dance students. I most recently trained in voice under the mentorship of Dale Cox and I regularly attend professional development workshops. I adore the arts in all its forms and I love nothing more than sharing my passion with everyone I meet.

The only thing better than singing is more singing.
